Turtleman Triathlon has been placed on hold for 2013. When the water returns to Turtle Lake, so will Minnesota's oldest triathlon and the three time honored "athletes' favorite" triathlon - The Turtleman!
It is, without question, necessary to have a certain amount of water in order to swim… this was proved two years ago with our mud dip. Until we can safely hold a high caliber event in all three legs of the triathlon, the Turtleman Triathlon will be on hold.
The Turtleman Triathlon is a community supported, high caliber, safe event for athletes of all ages and abilities. As a volunteer produced event in Shoreview, we donates 100% of the race proceeds - over $200,000 in the last ten years - to local charities. Giving - 100% - A Turtleman Tradition that will return.
